Yale psychologist Laurie Santos records a live episode of her podcast The Happiness Lab, which grew out of her Yale course on well-being, described as the most popular in the university's 300-year history. Her guest is Ali Truwit, a Yale graduate and Division I swimmer who lost her foot to a shark attack days after graduating in 2023 and went on to become a medal-winning Paralympian.

Misunderstood Monsters with Paul Rosolie

Conservationist, explorer and wildlife filmmaker Paul Rosolie gives two programs on the Amazon's feared and misunderstood creatures, anacondas and tarantulas among them. An afternoon family stage presentation and meet-and-greet come with exhibit halls admission; the ticketed evening program is a fireside chat using the Science Common's immersive screens and sound. A pre-signed copy of his book Junglekeeper: What It Takes to Change the World can be added.

Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer whose YouTube channel of science builds and pranks has 82 million subscribers, talks through the stories and science behind his favorite creations, with experiments and demonstrations on stage and an audience Q&A. The museum is also presenting him with its 2026 Bradford Washburn Award for science communication. Rober founded CrunchLabs, which sends kids monthly STEM toys and videos.
