Hugo Dos Santos and Anthony Walton read, introduced by Meia Geddes. Walton, who teaches at Bowdoin College, is the author of Mississippi: An American Journey and the poetry collection Cricket Weather, and co-edited The Vintage Book of African American Poetry with Michael S. Harper. Dos Santos is a Portuguese-American poet and translator. The reading can be attended in the shop or joined online.

Cardboard House Press, which publishes Latin American poetry in bilingual editions, presents four poets: the Peruvian poets Victoria Guerrero-Peirano and Giancarlo Huapaya, with Judah Rubin and Honora Spicer, introduced by Jaime Francisco Matorras. The reading can be attended in person or online. Huapaya returns five days later to introduce William Rowe and Helen Dimos reading César Vallejo's Trilce.

William Rowe and Helen Dimos read Trilce by César Vallejo with an introduction by Giancarlo Huapaya

William Rowe and Helen Dimos read from their translation of Trilce, César Vallejo's 1922 collection, published by New York Review Books with the Spanish original, a more literal English version and a gloss for each poem. The translation won the Premio Valle-Inclán for translation from Spanish. Rowe is a British scholar of Latin American poetry, and the Peruvian poet Giancarlo Huapaya introduces.

Arrowsmith Press and the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute co-present the Ukrainian poet Yaryna Chornohuz, who has served in Ukraine's armed forces since 2020, first as a combat medic, and whose collections include Dasein: The Defense of Presence, with the poet and scholar Amira El-Zein, author of Islam, Arabs, and the Intelligent World of the Jinn. The novelist Askold Melnyczuk, founder of Arrowsmith Press, introduces.

Lindsay Turner, a poet and translator from the French whose collections include Songs & Ballads and The Upstate, is introduced by and in conversation with Nina MacLaughlin, the Boston-area writer whose books include Hammer Head, about leaving journalism to work as a carpenter, and Wake, Siren, a retelling of the women of Ovid. Andrea L. Fry launches Pawn Shop of Coincidence, her third poetry collection, published by the shop's own imprint, Grolier Poetry Press. Fry spent seventeen years as a cancer nurse practitioner, most recently at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and is the author of The Bottle Diggers and Poisons & Antidotes. Rob Bowers introduces her and joins her in conversation; the reading can also be joined online.

Tom Cole appears in conversation with Michael Bronski, who teaches women, gender and sexuality studies at Harvard. Bronski has written about gay culture and politics since the 1970s, from Culture Clash: The Making of Gay Sensibility (1984) to A Queer History of the United States, which won a Stonewall Book Award.

Launch of the twelfth issue of spoKe, the Boston poetry annual Kevin Gallagher founded in response to the 2013 Marathon bombing, with readings by Kristin Prevallet, John Mulrooney and Nimi Wariboko, introduced by Gallagher, a poet and professor of global development policy at Boston University. Prevallet's books include I, Afterlife: Essay in Mourning Time; Wariboko, born in Nigeria, teaches social ethics at Boston University's School of Theology.

Four poets read: Rosemary Carroll, Miguel Coronado, Rob Macaisa Colgate and Nay Saysourinho. Colgate's debut, Hardly Creatures (Tin House, 2025), is built as an accessible art museum, its sections laid out as gallery rooms about life in a disabled body. Saysourinho's The Capture of Krao Farini, from Ugly Duckling Presse, is written in the imagined voice of a real sideshow performer brought to the United States around 1900.
