Five composers at their beginnings: Britten's Phantasy Quartet, Op. 2, Carter's Woodwind Quintet of 1948, Beethoven's Second Violin Sonata, Op. 12, Cage's Nocturne for violin and piano, and Strauss's C minor Piano Quartet, Op. 13. The ensemble frames them as early inspirations of composers who became defining voices.

Free Family Concert 2027

The free family concert is part of Chameleon Arts Ensemble's spring music education programme, which since 2004 has brought interactive concerts, instrument demonstrations and workshops to more than 6,000 Boston Public Schools students. The ensemble, led by the flutist Deborah Boldin, is in its twenty-ninth season of themed chamber programmes. No tickets are required.
