Joshua Brown returns to the Boston Chamber Symphony as soloist in the Brahms Violin Concerto, on a season-opening programme with Mozart's overture to Così fan tutte and Beethoven's Eighth Symphony. Brown won second prize and both audience awards at the 2024 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels and received a 2025 Avery Fisher Career Grant; La Libre praised his 'richness of sound, elegance of reading'.

The percussion pair arx duo, Garrett Arney and Sijia Huang, are the guest soloists in two concertos written for them: Pascal Le Boeuf's Triple Concerto, for violin, percussion duo and orchestra, and Michael Gilbertson's Concerto for Percussion Duo, which the duo co-commissioned. Music director Avlana Eisenberg conducts a programme that also includes Elgar's Serenade for Strings and de Falla's El Amor Brujo.

Rossini, Mozart & Schumann with Adam Golka

Adam Golka is the soloist in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor, one of only two piano concertos Mozart wrote in a minor key. Golka, born in Texas to a family of Polish musicians and a student of Leon Fleisher at Peabody, won the 2008 Gilmore Young Artist Award. Music director Avlana Eisenberg pairs the concerto with Rossini's overture to The Barber of Seville and Schumann's Fourth Symphony.
