Apollo Ensemble of Boston · First Church Cambridge · 11 Garden St · Cambridge · MA · Cambridge

The Apollo Ensemble of Boston and music director Elias Miller give the world premiere of a new work by Yangfan Xu, a Juilliard graduate and doctoral candidate at New England Conservatory whose music has been played by the New Jersey Symphony and New York City Ballet. Rachmaninoff's Second Symphony, written in Dresden a decade after the failure of his First, follows. The dress rehearsal the night before is open.
