Radius Ensemble: Postcards
Radius Ensemble's second programme of the season has three works. In Canon No. 4, a “timbral canon” by MIT's Molly Herron, the bassoonist plays against a recording of herself. Postcards from Native America, a wind quintet of “transmissions from five tribal capitals” by the Choctaw composer Charles Shadle, gets its New England premiere, and Amy Beach's Piano Quintet in F-sharp minor, Op. 67, closes the evening.
