Joanne Chang discusses The Joy of Cookies: New Classics and Old Favorites to Share, which opens with answers to basic baking questions and then sorts its recipes by kind, from drop cookies and bars to sandwich and savory cookies such as Parmesan Chive Coins. Chang founded the Flour bakeries in Boston, co-owns the restaurant Myers+Chang, and won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Baker in 2016.
