3 in 30: Three Sisters Story and Objects
This 3 in 30, Historic Beverly's half-hour talk built on three objects from its collection, looks at the Three Sisters: corn, beans and squash, grown together by Indigenous peoples of the region long before European settlement. Corn gave beans a structure to climb, beans enriched the soil and squash leaves held moisture. The objects show what was grown on the North Shore and how the foods were used.
