The New England Philharmonic opens its fiftieth season against the Revolution's 250th anniversary, pairing the Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes and Drums with Joan Tower's Violin Concerto, played by Danielle Maddon, a new commission from composer-in-residence Carlos Carrillo, and Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.
