CAM Talk: From Clay to Bronze, The Making of the Seated Cat, by Robert Shure
Sculptor Robert Shure talks about Seated Cat, his new bronze in the museum’s renovated courtyard, an enlargement of Katherine Lane Weems’s 1941 work of the same name. He discusses his past work with Weems and the dialogue between their two cats. Shure trained at the Cascieri-di Biccari sculpture studio, which he moved to Woburn in 1990 as Skylight Studios, where he makes public monuments and restores historic sculpture.
