Radius Ensemble: Crossroads
The third Radius Ensemble programme of the season, on crossings of style and genre, opens with Music for Wind Instruments, an early John Cage score, and Sofia Gubaidulina's String Trio, written as she began exploring the Fibonacci sequence. Kurt Rohde's blued remixes Joni Mitchell for flute and strings, and Christopher Cerrone's Barnes Dances sets flute, clarinet, violin and cello against recorded crosswalk signals from around the world.
