Sound Economies: Cultivating Boston’s Creative and Cultural Music Ecosystem
A half-day symposium asks whether Boston is a true music city, looking at the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, DIY and underground scenes, and music’s role in social justice. One panel maps the creative labor that cultural indices miss; a second turns to zoning, venue protection and policy. Speakers include Harvard Law School’s Christopher Bavitz, Michael Bracy of the Music Policy Forum and Northeastern’s David Herlihy and Anthony Paul De Ritis.
