Yeston & Kopit's Phantom
The other Phantom: Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit wrote their version of Gaston Leroux's novel at the same time as Lloyd Webber's and were beaten to the stage, so it is rarely produced. It gives the Phantom considerably more backstory.
