Violinist Keila Wakao and cellist Leland Ko, both returning to the Apollo Ensemble, are the soloists in Brahms's Double Concerto, his last orchestral work. Ko took Third Prize at the 2026 Queen Elisabeth Competition and First Prize at the 2024 Naumburg; Wakao won the Menuhin Competition and made her BSO debut at its 2024 Opening Night Gala. Strauss's Don Juan opens, and the 1919 Firebird suite closes.
