MIT Wind Ensemble: 12th Annual PRISM Concert Spectacular!
The MIT Wind Ensemble's twelfth PRISM concert sets music to special lighting, moving between the full wind ensemble and smaller groups of brass, percussion and woodwinds, with soloists. Frederick E. Harris, Jr., who founded the ensemble in 1999, conducts; Kenneth Amis, the Empire Brass tubist and composer, is assistant conductor. The ensemble has commissioned 55 works, and its 2015 album Infinite Winds drew a five-star DownBeat review.
