The Church of the Redeemer Choir sings Kenneth Leighton’s Crucifixus pro nobis, a 1961 cantata for tenor, chorus and organ setting 17th-century Passion poems by Patrick Carey and Phineas Fletcher, as a Palm Sunday choral meditation. Leighton, the English composer who held the Reid chair of music at the University of Edinburgh from 1970, wrote extensively for Anglican choirs. Admission is free, with a suggested donation.
