Sustainability: Distinguishing Its Real Messages from the Myths
Julian Agyeman, Professor of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts, argues that our biggest environmental problems are cultural rather than technical, and sets out how to tell genuine sustainability from greenwashing. Agyeman originated the idea of “just sustainabilities,” which joins social justice to environmental sustainability, and has written or edited 15 books, among them Sharing Cities, one of Nature’s Top 20 Books of 2015.
