Stacy Andersen, a behavioral neuroscientist, co-directs the New England Centenarian Study at Boston University, the largest study of centenarians and their families in the world. She talks about what people who thrive past 100 are teaching researchers about healthspan; her work has found that centenarians’ cancer diagnoses came 17 years later than in a national database, and that their children had 46% lower odds of cognitive impairment.
