Coffee & Conversation: The Beverly Tea Party
December's Coffee & Conversation adds tea and follows the politics of what New Englanders drank, from the Boston Tea Party and the colonial boycotts, when "Liberty Teas" brewed from local plants and coffee stood in for imported tea, to the New England Woman's Suffrage Association's "Woman's Tea Party" at Faneuil Hall in December 1873. Tastings include a Bohea-style black tea like the kind dumped in Boston Harbor.
