Girl Crime
Kendall Grenolds’s dark comedy follows the co-hosts of a hit true-crime podcast that “packages murder as quirky, relatable content for the girlies,” as the line between ambition and exploitation blurs. The play examines the American obsession with violence, the commodification of trauma and who has the right to tell a story. Emma DeWitt directs this first full production, following a Boston workshop premiere; Grenolds is a Chicago playwright.
