Sarah Ruhl's comedy is about a descendant of Rebecca Nurse, hanged in 1692, who has been fired from her job at the Salem witch museum and is raising her granddaughter while grieving her daughter's overdose. She goes to a local witch for help. Ruhl wrote it as a rebuttal to The Crucible. Julie Kiernan directs, forty miles from the trials.

Kaela Mei-Shing Garvin's play rewrites Our Town into a small town south of San Francisco in this century, keeping Wilder's George and Emily and their friends but letting them shed the selves they have outgrown — a high-school sweetheart, a gender assigned at birth. Garvin directs her own script, which the department is staging over three weekends.
