Narrative, Two Ways: Taipei Story, With R. F. Kuang
R. F. Kuang celebrates her new novel Taipei Story, about a Chinese American college freshman whose summer language program in Taipei unravels after her grandfather's death. The evening, presented with the Brattle, opens with a screening of Edward Yang's 1985 film Taipei Story, which inspired the book, then a discussion and signing. Kuang is the bestselling author of Babel, Yellowface and Katabasis, and has won Nebula and Locus awards.
