Concerts in the Chapel: NAMI, featuring Christine Southworth

· · 48 Massachusetts Ave · ·

NAMI is an audiovisual collaboration between composer and guitarist Christine Southworth, an MIT graduate of 2002, and the artist and photographer Jun Hoshino. Hoshino's unfiltered iPhone footage of New England ponds and streams is turned into sound through Southworth's data sonifications, then layered with electric guitar, giving each video its own soundscape. The half-hour midday series is presented by MIT's Office of Religious, Spiritual, and Ethical Life.
