Boulez at 100
Pianists Gloria Cheng and Ralph van Raat bring their touring centenary program, which sets chapters from Pierre Boulez’s rarely heard two-piano Structures, Books I and II, among his piano works and music by John Cage, Morton Feldman, Frank Zappa, Magnus Lindberg and Boulez’s teacher Olivier Messiaen. Tod Machover, faculty director of the MIT Media Lab, hosts an evening billed as performance, technology and dialogue.
