Euripides gives Medea the argument as well as the knife: abandoned by Jason for a royal marriage, she reasons her way to the murder of their children. Marblehead Little Theatre uses Diane Arnson Svarlien's verse translation. Euripides staged the play at the City Dionysia in 431 BC, where it placed third.

Elizabeth Bennet, the second of five daughters in a family whose estate will pass to a cousin, and the proud, wealthy Mr Darcy misjudge each other across a round of country balls, a disastrous first proposal, the charming Mr Wickham's lies and Lydia Bennet's elopement, before either will admit to having been wrong.

Harvey Fierstein and Jerry Herman's musical, set around a Saint-Tropez drag club, in which Georges and Albin try to pass one evening as a conventional couple so their son can present them to his fiancée's ultra-conservative parents. It contains "I Am What I Am." Andrew Hankinson directs; Thom Smoker is music director.
