The River Echoes
Kaaya Vritti’s ensemble performs an original dance-theatre work inspired by the River Ganga and the stories, memories and meanings gathered around her, combining Indian classical and contemporary movement with music, narration and theatrical storytelling. At its centre are promises made before their true cost is understood, and what it means to carry them through. The piece assumes no prior knowledge of the mythology or the dance traditions.
