Ken Ludwig's adaptation of Christie's best-known puzzle: a train stopped by a snowdrift, a dead passenger, and a carriage of suspects who all have alibis. Poirot's difficulty turns out to be not too few solutions but too many. Christie based the snowbound setting on a real stranding of the train.

Roald Dahl's clever, neglected girl and the headmistress who throws children by the pigtails, with songs by Tim Minchin and a book by Dennis Kelly. Minchin's lyrics are considerably more intricate than most scores written for children. The Royal Shakespeare Company commissioned and first staged it in 2010.
