Claude Cernuschi, Professor of Art History at Boston College and a past chair of its Art, Art History, and Film Department, lectures on Picasso's career and his part in shaping twentieth-century art, in conjunction with the Museum of Fine Arts exhibition Picasso, Miró, Dalí: Unbound. Cernuschi has published studies of Jackson Pollock, Oskar Kokoschka, Egon Schiele and Abstract Expressionism. The lecture has been rescheduled.

From Saint-Saëns to Britten: The Musical World of Verlaine

French tenor Morgan Manifacier and pianist Corinne Penner trace Paul Verlaine's poetry through its musical settings, on an international tour marking 130 years since his death: songs by Saint-Saëns, Debussy, Hahn, Poldowski, Tosti and Britten, ending with Fauré's La Bonne Chanson, Op. 61, on nine of Verlaine's poems. Both teach at Baylor University; Manifacier is a two-time American Prize winner in voice.
