A screwball comedy about a divorced couple whose carefully orchestrated double date leaves the ex-wife juggling her ex-husband's feelings, a disastrous date and her own secret romance. J.W. Andrew, an Emerson MFA student, won the Rod Parker Playwriting Fellowship with it; the award, funded by the family of the television writer Rod Parker '51, brings a lab production and a cash prize. Joe Antoun directs.

Stephen King's first novel as a musical: Carrie White, bullied at school and dominated at home by her loving but cruelly controlling mother, discovers a telekinetic power she will use if pushed too far. Michael Gore and Dean Pitchford wrote the songs and Lawrence D. Cohen the book; the show failed on Broadway in 1988 and was revised in 2012. Christopher Shin directs this lab production.

Tony Kushner's two-part epic of Reagan-era New York, Roy Cohn, the AIDS crisis and an angel crashing through a ceiling, staged here in full. Both parts run around seven hours together. Brecht and Weill's Victorian London of beggars, thieves and Macheath, written in 1928 to be sung badly on purpose and to stop the audience getting comfortable.
