Ina Garten, the cookbook author and television host known as the Barefoot Contessa, talks about cooking, hospitality and her new cookbook, Simply Ina, a collection of recipes meant to show that “the most delicious cooking is often the simplest.” Garten worked on nuclear energy policy at the White House budget office before buying a Westhampton Beach food shop called Barefoot Contessa in 1978.
