Natalie Shapero reads from Stay Dead with Kathy Fagan, author of The Unbecoming. Shapero teaches at Tufts and her poems work a deadpan, self-interrupting register; Fagan has published collections over four decades and won the National Poetry Series. The Blacksmith House series has run Monday readings in Cambridge since the 1970s.

Pádraig Ó Tuama reads from The Weight of Time with Susan Stewart, whose most recent book is Bramble. Ó Tuama is an Irish poet and theologian who presents the podcast Poetry Unbound; Stewart is a MacArthur fellow and former Princeton professor who writes criticism as well as poems.

Robert Pinsky, whose latest books are The First Two Books of Poems and On Poetry, Culture, and Democracy, has the evening to himself; the season's other Mondays each pair two writers. Pinsky served three terms as Poet Laureate of the United States, founded the Favorite Poem Project, translated Dante's Inferno and has long taught at Boston University. Admission is $5 at the door.
