Musicians of the Old Post Road takes its name from the colonial road between Boston and New York, and has built its programmes on recovered works since the late 1980s.

Violinist Masha Lakisova and pianist Yali Levy Schwartz play Brahms's Sonata No. 2 in A major, Prokofiev's Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Beethoven's Sonata No. 10 in G major and a Nocturne by Lili Boulanger. Lakisova, a master's student of Miriam Fried at New England Conservatory, won the World's Biggest Stage Competition and NEC's Brahms Concerto Competition; Levy Schwartz has performed in New York, Tel Aviv and Tbilisi.

The Secret Trio

The Secret Trio brings together Ara Dinkjian on oud, a fretless lute, Ismail Lumanovski on clarinet and Tamer Pınarbaşı on kanun, a 76-string zither. They play original pieces and traditional melodies that draw on the microtonal modes and improvisation of the Middle East and the dance rhythms of the Balkans, with elements of jazz, rock and classical music, in what they describe as a new type of chamber music.
