Part of ArtsEmerson's America 250 programming, this conversation asks who gets remembered in public life and who decides, looking at monuments, public art, civic ritual and the stories a city teaches. The speakers are Emerson political scientist Mneesha Gellman, who writes on memory politics and founded the Emerson Prison Initiative; street artist Cedric Douglas; and Joseph Zeal-Henry, Boston's Chief of Arts and Culture. A reception follows.

Patrick Page works through Shakespeare's villains one at a time, arguing that Shakespeare invented the interior life of evil. The solo show won him the Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle awards off-Broadway. Page was Tony-nominated and won a Grammy for playing Hades in Hadestown.
