Meghan Nesmith, a Boston writer and editor whose work has appeared in the Boston Globe and the Guardian, appears for A World Apart, her first novel. It is a queer romantasy set in London in 1866, in which a miscast spell opens a doorway into the Veil, a realm where a family has been trapped for 800 years since a bargain with the Faerie Queen.
