Poltergeist (1982)
Tobe Hooper's Poltergeist (1982), made with producer Steven Spielberg, follows the Freelings into a typical suburban house whose foundation hides something evil; when their youngest daughter vanishes and her voice comes through the television, Steve Freeling calls in a team of parapsychologists. Craig T. Nelson, JoBeth Williams and Heather O’Rourke star. It screens on 35mm in the Coolidge’s Big Screen Classics series.
