Tea in Early America: How a Tiny Dry Leaf from the Other Side of the Globe Worked Its Way into the Colonies

· · ·

Living history interpreter Audrey Stuck-Girard prepares several cups of 18th-century tea and discusses how the drink shaped cultural traditions, global trade and revolutionary politics in 1700s America. Her teaware mixes antiques with reproductions, and a variety of the loose-leaf teas available in the 18th century are part of the discussion. No registration is required.
