On Dangerous Ground (1951)
Nicholas Ray's On Dangerous Ground (1951) stars Robert Ryan as Jim Wilson, a brutalised New York cop whose next case, a murder in the countryside, leads him to a blind woman (Ida Lupino) whose compassion offers him a last chance at redemption. Ward Bond co-stars, and Bernard Herrmann wrote the score. It screens in the Coolidge's Noirvember season of film noir.
