Music on Saturdays: Trombone Quartet
Four Boston-area trombonists play familiar melodies, holiday music and original compositions, talking between pieces about the instrument’s range. Victoria Garcia, a regular substitute with the Boston Symphony and a 2017 International Trombone Association quartet competition winner, joins Robert Hoveland, principal in the Cape Symphony; Michael Tybursky, principal of the Bangor Symphony; and bass trombonist Alan Carr, a Belmont resident and executive director of the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra.
