Inglourious Basterds
Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009) imagines an alternate history in which two plots to kill Nazi Germany's leadership converge on a Paris cinema: one hatched by Lt. Aldo Raine's squad of Jewish-American soldiers, the other by the young French-Jewish woman who runs the theatre. Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Daniel Brühl and Christoph Waltz star. It screens on 35mm in the theatre's anti-Nazi repertory series.
