Relational-Cultural Theory Conference
Fri Oct 16 – Sun Oct 18
Relational-Cultural Theory Conference
A three-day conference marking fifty years since Toward a New Psychology of Women (1976), the book by psychiatrist Jean Baker Miller from which relational-cultural theory grew. Miller became the first director of Wellesley's Stone Center, where she, Judith Jordan, Irene Stiver and Janet Surrey developed the theory's account of psychological growth through connection. The college lists the sessions as lectures, panels and a symposium.
