9th Annual MAAH Stone Book Award
The $50,000 Stone Book Award goes to one of three finalists, announced live: Ashley D. Farmer’s Queen Mother, on Black nationalist Audley Moore; Jarvis R. Givens’s American Grammar: Race, Education, and the Building of a Nation; and Jarvis C. McInnis’s Afterlives of the Plantation. GBH host Callie Crossley talks with the winner before a Q&A with all three. The first 100 arrivals receive a signed finalist book.
