Richard Eyre's Met production of Bizet's opera, recorded in January 2010 and brought back to the Kendall Square screen as part of the Live in HD series' twentieth-anniversary season. Elīna Garanča is the cigarette girl who lives and dies on her own terms, Roberto Alagna the soldier who cannot let her go. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducted, in his first Met season.
