William Wyler's The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) follows three Second World War veterans home: Fred Derry (Dana Andrews) to a loveless marriage, Al Stephenson (Fredric March) to a family grown up without him, and sailor Homer Parrish (Harold Russell), who lost his hands. Myrna Loy co-stars in the winner of eight Oscars, including Best Picture, shown in a 4K restoration from the Academy Film Archive.
