Petra Hůlová and Carolina Pihelgas
Petra Hůlová and Carolina Pihelgas discuss two feminist novels. In Hůlová’s The Long Version, a Czech author in her fifties faces her daughter’s discovery of a youthful affair with an older writer; Pihelgas’s The Cut Line follows a woman ending a toxic fourteen-year relationship on a farmstead near a NATO base on the Russian border. Hůlová has won the Magnesia Litera; Pihelgas was named Tartu’s City Writer Laureate.
