Innocent Sorcerers (1960)
Shot two months before Godard's À bout de souffle but released after it, Andrzej Wajda's Innocent Sorcerers (1960) follows a noncommittal young man (Tadeusz Łomnicki) through nightclubs, apartments and boxing rings in post-thaw Warsaw. Jerzy Skolimowski co-wrote the script, and Krzysztof Komeda composed the score and appears in a cameo, as does Zbigniew Cybulski. Censors added the happy ending. Part of the Archive's Wajda centenary retrospective.
