Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)
Aliens disguised as clowns crash-land near a small town and wrap its residents in cotton-candy cocoons to eat later, in this 1988 film directed by Stephen Chiodo, who with his brothers also built its creature effects; the punk band the Dickies recorded the theme song. Shown on 35mm in a double bill with Phantasm for the Halloween Hullabaloo, whose curator Julia Marchese calls it “a circus scented blast of fun.”
