Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)
Shane Black's 2005 Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, his directing debut, is an action-comedy spoof of buddy films produced by Joel Silver, Black's collaborator on Lethal Weapon. A private detective (Val Kilmer), a thief posing as a struggling actor (Robert Downey Jr.) and an actual struggling actress (Michelle Monaghan) are drawn into a Los Angeles murder mystery. Part of the Rewind! series, with a separately ticketed 21-and-over afterparty.
