Bitter Christmas (2026), Pedro Almodóvar's latest, follows two filmmakers mining their friends' misfortunes for material: Elsa (Bárbara Lennie), an advertising director drawn back to personal work by a new screenplay, and the auteur Raúl (Leonardo Sbaraglia, of Almodóvar's Pain and Glory), who does the same for his next project.
