A panel on how American universities can support scientists and scholars at risk in Ukraine and elsewhere, after Russian attacks since 2014 destroyed thousands of Ukrainian educational and research facilities. Yevheniia Polishchuk, chair of the Ukrainian Science Diaspora, speaks as a displaced scientist; MIT nuclear-engineering professor Michael Short describes a Kharkiv collaboration that ended when the partner lab’s accelerator took a direct missile hit. Svitlana Krasynska of MIT-Ukraine moderates.
