Kate Crawford: Atlas of AI
Kate Crawford argues that artificial intelligence is a technology of extraction — of minerals, labour and data — rather than an abstraction running in the cloud. Her Atlas of AI was named a book of the year by the Financial Times, won three international prizes and has been translated into fourteen languages. She teaches at USC and founded the Knowing Machines group.
